Why: Earth Hour & WWF are taking to the bicycle track to ask people to pledge to switch off for Earth Hour and make planet-friendly choices in their lives, like cycling, walking and carpooling whenever possible.

You can join in and, pedal for the planet, and if you can’t bring your bike, 'come paidal for the planet' say the folks at Earth Hour & WWF - dressed up as your favorite planet, the moon, the ocean, a panda or maybe even a solar light! The best dressed walkers/cyclists even get a prize!

Organized by: Pedal for the Planet, powered by Canara HSBC Oriental Bank of Commerce Life Insurance Company, is the signature lead-up event to Earth Hour. Every year since 2009, the cyclothon has been held to give people a chance to contribute towards the campaign and spread the message of Earth Hour.
