Punjab National Bank Partners With Ola To Deploy Mobile ATMs In Delhi NCR

New Delhi (December 6, 2016): Ola has partnered with Punjab National Bank (PNB) to aid cash withdrawals for the citizens of Delhi NCR. The month long activity that started on December 1st has served more than 15,000 customers in the city and will continue for the next 3 weeks. PNB ATM Machine equipped Ola cabs are stationed in areas like Gurgaon, Laxminagar, Janakpuri, Civil Lines, AIIMS, NSP, Manesar, Nehru Place, Bhikaji Cama Place, Mayur Vihar, Faridabad, Tilak Nagar, Rajouri Garden and Greater Kailash; with Ola volunteers and PNB executives, to assist people in withdrawing cash without any hassle. Over the last few weeks, Ola has rolled out similar activities for the citizens of Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Pune, Kolkata, Chandigarh, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad and Jaipur; in partnership with other leading banks of the country.

Through this activity, Ola has increased touch points to PNB's existing network by creating more avenues for withdrawing money through micro ATMs / POS machines. PNB and Ola aim to provide seamless cash withdrawal experience that will benefit thousands of citizens participating in the demonetisation drive.”

Additionally, with the recent launch of the postpaid service called ‘Ola Credit’ - riders are allowed to take rides on credit and pay for them later. Ola Credit was introduced at a time when cash conservation was key to citizens. Ola Money is already amongst the top three digital wallets in India, facilitating one-touch payments and checkouts across a range of use cases like Travel, Food, Entertainment, E-commerce, Bill payments and easy fund transfers to friends and family - all in a secure and hassle-free environment. 

Aligned with government’s ‘Digital India’ mission, Ola has been working towards helping its 550,000 driver partners across the country, access to easy cash withdrawals, exchange of demonetized note, e-vouchers for fuel etc. over the past month.
